He is a researcher at Euricse, he graduated in Political Science at the University of Firenze and received his PhD in Economic Sociology from the University of Brescia, discussing a thesis on the role of institutions and of social capital in the processes of local development. After having worked from 2008 to 2010 as a researcher at the School of Local Development of the University of Trento (on a research project on the cooperative phenomenon and on rural development in Eastern Europe), in 2010 he started collaborating with Euricse as a post-doctoral researcher, with a research project on the role of BCCs in local development. Within the PhD programme in Local Development and Global Dynamics at the School of Social Sciences of the University of Trento, he held two cycles of lectures on the role of local institutions in local development. His research interests are focused on local development, local development policies and local institutions, with a focus on cooperative and political institutions and on public-private partnerships.
