Conference | Financial cooperative approaches to local development through sustainable innovation

Euricse -  European Research Institute on Cooperative and Social Enterprises organized an International Conference on “Financial co-operative approaches to local development trough sustainable innovation”,  in Trento on June 10th-11th, 2010. The conference aim was to reclaim the momentum of change and development for people and their communities, emphasizing the role of finance, as very little can be achieved without financing. One of the most dynamic and secure new sources of finance to emerge is within the microfinance and cooperative banking sectors. It may not be a coincidence that these financial institutions are rooted in membership based associations in communities with common bonds.
